The most exciting game of round 15 in the CEBL took place in Winnipeg. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-best Sea Bears (9-6) to tenth ranked Rattlers (6-9) 99-96 on Tuesday evening. Rattlers dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Sea Bears' 32. The best player for the winners was American point guard Justin Wright-Foreman (183-1997, college: Hofstra) who scored 29 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. His fellow American import guard Quenton DeCosey (196-1993, college: Temple) chipped in 20 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Teddy Allen (198-1998, college: NM State) who recorded 36 points (!!!). Sea Bears' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Rattlers moved-up to eighth place. Sea Bears at the other side keep the second position with six games lost. They share it with Niagara. Rattlers are looking forward to face higher ranked Stingers (#6) in Edmonton in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sea Bears will play at home against Surge (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Montreal. Fifth ranked Surge (8-7) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Alliance (6-8) 77-74 on Wednesday evening. It was a good game for guard Stefan Smith (188-1999, college: St.John's, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Simi Shittu contributed with 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American Ahmed Hill (196-1995, college: Virginia Tech) answered with 25 points and 8 rebounds for Alliance. Surge moved-up to fourth place. Alliance at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Surge will play against league's second-placed Sea Bears in Winnipeg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Alliance will play on the road against Bandits (#9) in Langley and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Niagara. Third ranked River Lions faced 4th placed Shooting Stars. Host River Lions (9-6) defeated guests from Toronto (7-6) 98-89. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Shooting Stars. It was a great evening for Khalil Ahmad who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was David Muenkat with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. River Lions have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Winnipeg. Loser Shooting Stars dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. River Lions will again meet Shooting Stars (#5) in the next round. Shooting Stars will play against the league's leader Blackjacks and hope to secure a win.
Other games of round 15 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Ottawa defeated Vancouver in a road game 97-93. Brampton was beaten by Ottawa at home 82-88. Bottom-ranked Saskatchewan won against Edmonton on the opponent's court 86-85.
The best stats of 15th round was 21 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists by Nick Hornsby of Edmonton.
Niagara - Scarborough 98-89
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Niagara. Third ranked River Lions faced 4th placed Shooting Stars. Host River Lions (9-6) defeated guests from Toronto (7-6) 98-89. The best for the losing side was forward David Muenkat (201-2000, college: St.Francis X.) with 21 points and 9 rebounds and Canadian center Kalif Young (206-1997, college: Providence) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. There was no surprise in Langley where 8th ranked Bandits (5-8) were defeated by first ranked Blackjacks (11-5) 97-93 on Sunday. Blackjacks looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Jackson Rowe (201-1997, college: CS Fullerton) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points. American point guard Matt Coleman III (188-1998, college: Texas) helped adding 12 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Nick Ward (203-1997, college: Michigan St.) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and guard Malcolm Duvivier (190-1995, college: Akron) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Blackjacks have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-5 record. Loser Bandits dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. Blackjacks will meet Shooting Stars (#5) in the next round. Bandits will play against Alliance (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Blackjacks looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Sudanese-Australian forward Deng Adel (201-1997, college: Louisville) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points. Canadian-Jamaican guard Kadre Gray (186-1997, college: Laurentian) helped adding 11 points and 8 assists. Four Blackjacks players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Koby McEwen (193-1997, college: Weber St.) with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists and American guard Christian Vital (188-1997, college: UConn) scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Blackjacks have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-5 record. Honey Badgers lost fifth consecutive game. Defending champion dropped to the bottom position with nine games lost. Blackjacks will meet Shooting Stars (#5) in the next round. Honey Badgers will play against Bandits (#9) in Langley and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It was a great evening for American point guard Justin Wright-Foreman (183-1997, college: Hofstra) who led his team to a victory scoring 37 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Guard Mike Nuga (188-1997, college: UNLV) helped adding 20 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Nick Hornsby (201-1995, college: Sacramento St.) with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and South Sudanese-Canadian Aher Uguak (201-1998, college: Loyola, IL) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Stingers players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Rattlers moved-up to eighth place. Loser Stingers keep the sixth position with nine games lost. Rattlers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
